The Goal and Objectives of GCU Class of 92

In line with the GCUOBA world-wide constitution this association herein known as The GCU Class of '92 was created and the below are part of its objectives.

1. Foster relationship amongst classmates and cater for the welfare of those in need of support from mates.
2. Bring back the spirit of camaraderie we enjoyed as classmates. The art of "one for all and all for one", and to give every member a sense of belonging irrespective of social status.
3. Make room for continuous interchange of values and concepts that would promote harmonious relationship amongst us member of the 92 set of Government College Ughelli.
4. Ensure that the members of the class of 92 are not left behind in the activities of the GCUOBA national body. Activities such as giving back to the school that contributed to our mental development.
5. Encourage individuals who are or may be aspiring for positions in the society and to give them supports and platforms they can leverage on to achieve their goals as championed by the GCUOBA national.
6. Give back to humanity through charitable courses and to establish relationship with other associations with similar goals and objectives towards humanity.
7. Give welfare support to financial members whenever the need arises.
8. Provide a platform for intra and inter professional meeting where members can exchange ideas and have intelligent discussion on topics across all walks of life. 

By the foregoing objectives, all class members are encouraged to become financial members of the class and the branch wherein they are residents. 

How to Become a class member

To become a class member, one must have been admitted to study at Government College Ughelli and was not expelled for gross misconduct. So, you are a class member by virtue of admission into GCU.

How to Become a Branch Member

To become a branch member, one must obtain a form from the branch in the town wherein he resides, fill same and submit to the branch chairman for attestation with two sureties who shall be former classmates to identify him as a bonafide member of a class.

How to Become a Financial member

To become financial member of the class, you must be update in your monthly dues of N1000.00 Naira monthly and contribute to the welfare of others and projects taken by the class whenever the needs arise. 

Advantages of Being a Financial Member

The following are some of the advantages of being a financial member of the GCU Class of 92-98'

1. The right to vote and be voted for
2. Partake in decision making and implementations.
3. Become a committee head or member.
4. Enjoy welfare and solidarity more than ordinary members whenever the need arises.
5. Have your name on the national register.
6. Can contest and hold office at the national level if you're a branch member as well.
