Chief Albert Akpomudje SAN, the esteemed President General Worldwide (PGWW) of GCUOBA, graced the occasion with his entourage. The commissioning ceremony commenced at 10:12 AM in the newly established CCTV control room.
Engr Victor Ubieghan, a dedicated member of the project committee, eloquently presented the features of the night vision, 360-degree digital CCTV system. He also highlighted the class's additional initiatives, including a sanitation program and an inter-school debate competition, all in celebration of their Silver Jubilee—25 years post-graduation.
Commending the Class of '92, Chief Albert Akpomudje SAN praised their commitment to enhancing the school environment. In recognition of their outstanding contributions, he challenged the class to calculate the total cost of their various projects. If the sum reached ten million naira (N10,000,000), the class would earn a well-deserved spot on GCUOBA's honor list.
The commissioning proceedings included a live demonstration, allowing attendees to view footage from the strategically positioned cameras in different locations across the school. The successful experiment showcased the CCTV system's effectiveness in enhancing security.
The ceremony concluded on a high note with a group photograph capturing the significant moment shared by PGWW, Chief Albert Akpomudje SAN, and the proud members of the Class of '92. Subsequently, a collective photograph featuring the Class of '92 and other esteemed old boys marked the culmination of this transformative event, symbolizing a commitment to the school's safety and progress.
